| OAKCREST ELEMENTARY |
The PTA's Fundraising Chairperson oversees all ongoing fundraising endeavors
and presents ideas to the Executive Board regarding new fundraising initiatives in
accordance to district policies. Serves as the contact person for fundraiser
programs and events. Distributes email reminders and announcements of
fundraisers to teachers, parents, and students. Promotes the fundraiser in the
newsletter and the website. Hangs signs around the school to remind people about
the fundraiser. Collects the checks of earnings from each fundraiser and delivers
them to the PTA Treasurer. Tracks earnings on fundraisers and reports to the
PTA Executive Board.

The Legislative VP monitors state and local legislation that might affect Oakcrest
Elementary. This individual would communicate with the PTA Executive Board
regarding legislation and issues that may be of interest to the PTA and/or the
school. The would also monitor and communicate to the PTA Executive Board the
activities of the Jordan District School Board as it pertains our school. You would
also need to be able to attend pertinent meetings of the school board or other
legislative bodies representing the interests of our school.
